So when BzzAgent gave me the opportunity to try the specialised Nourish&Restore lotion*, I did a little fist pump. If you've read my previous posts you'll know I've been very run down and my immune system pretty much packed in, so my skin has been mega dry and dehydrated. This couldn't have come at a better time!
First up, the bottle is 250ml of pure smooth sexy goodness. Like 250ml, that's a pretty decent size isn't it?!
This body lotion claims it is 'an everyday lotion to help prevent dry skin and retain moisture.'
The back of the bottle makes for an interesting read if you're a beauty nerd like me, as it says it contains natural oils and Vitamin B3, which can only be good right? It claims to 'nourish and restore supple, softer and noticeably glowing skin in just 3 weeks using the unique Constant Moisture Build formula.' Apparently 'it's enriched with natural derived lipid and glycerine that work with your skin to replenish lost hydration and then build and maintain it throughout the day.'
I guess the smell is a bit of a love/hate thing. To me it smells like suncream, which I quite like because it gets me excited for summer when I put this stuff on! Is that sad? It's not an overpowering smell and it doesn't linger, it's just noticeable. It moisturises nicely and has made my skin noticeably softer. It doesn't feel as dry and tight! I also got sent the original dermatological moisturising lotion*, and I found that in comparison to that the Nourish&Restore lotion has slight particles of shimmer, which is obviously what gives you the 'healthy glow' when it's applied. I love this! Don't panic I'm not talking a full disco ball effect, it just makes you look like you've had your 5-a-day and plenty of water and sleep. Always a plus! Because I've been so run down, this has perked me up. It makes me look super healthy and I love it.
There is one thing that bugs me slightly. According to the bottle it 'quickly absorbs' so I trusted it. Big mistake. I applied it after a morning shower and then attempted to put leggings on afterwards. It resulted in me dancing round the room yanking my leggings up over slightly greasy legs. nice. But I suppose nothing's perfect..
All in all, I really like this body lotion and I will probably buy it again when it runs out. It's not the kinda thing I'd stop traffic to buy because I'm not too fussy with my body lotions, but nevertheless it's a nice one to use.
I was also sent the Dermatological Moisturising Lotion and I'm enjoying using that too, but I do prefer the Nourish&Restore one!
The E45 Dermatological Moisturising Lotion can be found in Boots for £3.23 for 200ml here
Have you tried any of the E45 lotions? I'm interested in trying the lipbalm!
Let me know what you think
